Annual inflation in Türkiye drops below 49%
Annual inflation in Türkiye has dropped again, Paralel.Az-Economics reports citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI).
According to the report, annual inflation in October of this year was 48.58%. In September, this indicator was 49.38%. In October, consumer prices increased by 2.88% compared to the previous month and by 39.77% compared to the beginning of 2024.
It should be noted that the main group that showed the least increase compared to October of the previous year was transportation prices with 26.14%, while the main group that recorded the highest increase was education prices with 93.66%.
It should be noted that inflation in Türkiye reached its highest level in the last 24 years - 85.5% in October 2022, and the highest level of this indicator in the current year - 75.45% - was recorded in May.
