Assistant to Azerbaijani President meets with Russian Deputy FM
On October 8, as part of the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation in the CIS Council of Heads of State, a working meeting took place between Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko in Moscow, Paralel.Az's Moscow correspondent reports citing the Telegram channel of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia.
The discussions focused on bilateral alliance between Azerbaijan and Russia, issues of mutual cooperation, as well as current regional issues.
Cooperation in the "3+3" format, the trilateral format of Azerbaijan-Russia-Iran, the North-South transport corridor, Azerbaijan's interaction with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and BRICS, and other issues received special attention.
Hikmat Hajiyev informed the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister about the progress of the negotiations process on the Armenia-Azerbaijan settlement, emphasizing the necessity of amending Armenian legislation to eliminate the provisions related to Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Russia Rahman Mustafayev and Deputy Director of the Second Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry M. Baranov.
