Russia reported an attempted attack on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant in Kurchatov, Paralel.Az reports citing UNN.

According to Russian sources, air defense intercepted a shell that fell 5 km from the plant, causing a fire. The plant itself was not damaged.

The Russian Telegram channel Mash reported a "Ukrainian trace" in the attempted attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant and blamed the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There have been no official comments from the Russian authorities regarding the alleged attack on the Kursk NPP.
