Head of Press Service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizada has responded to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Paralel.Az reports.

"Disinformation, propaganda, and manipulation carried out by the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at Warsaw Forum aims at instilling anti-Azerbaijan sentiments.

Instead of misleading international community, it would be appropriate if the Minister Mirzoyan would explain why he is so silent about Armenia’s military aggression and occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories for almost 30 years?

Notwithstanding its international commitment, why Armenia had refused to withdraw its more than 10,000-strong armed forces from Azerbaijan up until Azerbaijan has kicked them off in 2023?

These illegal armed forces were sustained through direct military-technical, logistical and financial support from the state budget by Armenia, in an attempt to fuel separatism in the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan for the purposes of its revanchist policy.

What Armenia tries to present as an attack on “peaceful” Armenian residents, is in fact local counter-terror measures by Azerbaijan, fully in line with its rights under the UN Charter, to disarm the Armenian armed formations illegally stationed in the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan.

Armenian Foreign Minister answering the question about Armenians who left the territories of Azerbaijan by their own decision, forgets how more than 1 million Azerbaijanis were barbarously and forcefully expelled from Armenia and from the Garabagh region they occupied.

The Armenian side should give up on such dangerous tactics and choose the path of reason and law. Embarking on adventurism for aspirations beyond its own capacity reveals Armenia’s failure of judgement, constitutes the biggest obstacle to peace and stability in our region," Hajizada wrote on X platform.
