Azerbaijan, Romania sign memorandum on legal cooperation
A series of meetings are held with delegations of international organizations and foreign states participating in the 29th Annual Conference of the International Prosecutors Association (IPA) held in Baku, Azerbaijan, General Prosecutor's Office told Paralel.Az.
Today, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, met with the delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Romania, Alex Floranta.
Speaking, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said that Romania is one of the countries with which Azerbaijan actively cooperates in the European space. Romania was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan. In the past period, important measures were taken to expand relations between Azerbaijan and Romania in political, economic and other fields. As a result, relations between two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership. Currently, Azerbaijan and Romania are successfully cooperating in energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, culture and other fields.
Later, a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania was signed in order to strengthen legal cooperation and further intensify existing relations in the future.
Vasile Soare, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Azerbaijan, also participated in the meeting.
