A Remembrance Day event dedicated to the memory of the martyrs of the 44-day Patriotic War was held in the city of Fuzuli, Paralel.Az’s local bureau reports.

According to the report, the event started with a visit to the monument erected in memory of the martyrs. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Parents of the martyrs of the Patriotic War told their memories and stories of heroism.

The artistic part of the event started with the screening of the a video dedicated to the Remembrance Day held in Hadrut settlement and Fuzuli city of Khojavand district with the support of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Youth Foundation in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts, the Zafar Public Union for Support of Martyrs' Families and the "Great Return" Youth Organization, made from the "Kharibulbul" camp with the participation of 24 children of martyrs. Following, episodes from President Ilham Aliyev's speeches about the beginning of the war and the liberation of the districts were screened. Poems and songs in the spirit of patriotism were sung.
