“The process of decarbonization and transition to alternative energy in our country will be supported by all means, including tax policy,” said the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov during his speech at the International Forum on Carbon Pricing held jointly by the State Tax Service and the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), Paralel.Az-Economics reports.

“Our tax policy is an important link of economic and political processes and this effective tool will play an important role in attracting private investments, combating climate change and expanding the use of "green" technologies. The State Tax Service is studying the advanced international practice on determining the scope of environmental and "green" taxes,” the minister added.
