According to Stoltenberg, the conflict in Ukraine and the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan are his failures as Secretary General. He named "strengthening NATO's collective defense" as his main achievement.

"The world has become much more dangerous in 10 years, but NATO has become much stronger," Stoltenberg concluded.
