Israeli airstrikes in Gaza claim 37 lives and injure dozens
At least 37 people have been killed and dozens more injured in a series of unrelenting Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling and gunfire attacks across the Gaza Strip since last night, according to local health authorities, Paralel.Az reports citing WAFA.
In Khan Younis, an airstrike on the Kalakh family home in the Al-Amal neighborhood killed 11 civilians. Simultaneously, an Israeli bombardment of the Al-Katiba area in central Khan Younis also claimed 11 lives.
Additionally, gunfire from Israeli military vehicles and drones hit displaced people's tents west of the city, resulting in at least one individual killed and several injuries.
In Rafah, rescue teams and civil defense units reported recovering three bodies belonging to civilians killed by the Israeli forces. Many more victims remain trapped under the rubble, with rescue crews unable to reach them at this time.
In central Gaza, airstrikes targeted the Ein Jalout Towers in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least three people and injuring others.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that Israeli airstrikes also hit a group of civilians in the Abu Arif area east of Deir al-Balah, resulting in multiple fatalities.
Moreover, drone strikes on displaced persons' tents east of Deir al-Balah resulted in one Palestinian killed and five others injured. Another Israeli artillery strike in the Hakar Al-Jami area of Deir al-Balah also led to several injuries.
