Putin: Russia would be happy if it could do something for the signing of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia -UPDATED

"Everyone is well aware that Russia is also facing crises, primarily in the direction of Ukraine...but Russia's historical involvement in the situation in the South Caucasus in the last few years dictates the need for us to participate in these developments," said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in limited format with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Paralel.Az reports.

According to him, Russia's participation in the events in the South Caucasus will of course be to the extent required by the parties: “There is no doubt about it. If we can do something to achieve the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, to bring the issue to the delimitation and demarcation of the border, and open the relevant blocks in the direction of logistics and economy, we would be very happy,” – Russian leader underlined.
