Ukrainian President: We are strengthening our positions

 

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported to the President about the situation on all main fronts, primarily in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions, as well as about the operation in Kursk region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram, Paralel.Az reports citing TCH.

"Report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. The front is the priority. Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions. As for the operation in Kursk region – we are strengthening our positions and replenishing the exchange fund for Ukraine. I am grateful to every one of our soldiers!" Zelenskyy stated.

Syrskyi mentioned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced by 1-3 km in Kursk region, and there may be many captured Russians in the area of Mala Loknya. "The troops continue to fight. They have advanced in some directions by 1 to 3 kilometers towards the enemy. Fighting continues along the entire front line. Overall, the situation is under control," Syrskyi said.

In response to Zelenskyy's question about the exchange fund, Syrskyi said that "fighting is currently underway in the area of Mala Loknya."

"I hope that many prisoners of war will be taken there," he clarified. The Commander-in-Chief also reported that Major General Moskaliov had already begun fulfilling his duties as the head of the commandant's office in Kursk region.
