On June 30, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with the newly appointed First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref in Tehran, the Cabinet of Ministers told Paralel.Az.

Ali Asadov congratulated Mohammad Reza Aref on the occasion of his appointment as the First Vice President of Iran.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of relations between the two countries, which are based on historical roots, in various fields including trade and economy, transportation, energy, humanitarian issues, and many other areas.

Discussions were also held on the expansion of Azerbaijani-Iranian cooperation in various directions, as well as on other matters of mutual interest.
