Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with former U.S. leader Donald Trump and agreed to meet in person to discuss ways to settle the Ukrainian conflict, Paralel.Az reports citing TASS.

"We have agreed to discuss in a personal meeting exactly what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting," Zelenskyy wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also congratulated Trump on his nomination as the Republican Party's presidential candidate and condemned the assassination attempt against him.
