The Political and Security Committee of the European Union (EU) has approved the candidacy of Magdalena Grono to the post of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Vesti.az reports.

She will replace Toivo Klaar, who has held this position since November 13, 2017.

Magdalena Grono's candidacy is expected to be officially approved by the European Council soon.
