Remains of mother and son, who went missing in Garabagh 31 years ago, buried in Azerbaijan's Saatli - PHOTO

 

Safiyya Rahimova and Musaddin Rahimov, who went missing during the First Garabagh War and whose remains were found after 31 years, were buried in Azerbaijan's Saatli district, Paralel.Az's Mil-Mughan bureau reports.

The mother and son were brought to their house and handed over to their family today.

    The farewell ceremony was attended by the relatives of the martyrs, officials of the regional executive power, employees of law enforcement agencies and representatives of the public.

    After the ceremony ended, the remains of Safiyya Rahimova and her son Musaddin Rahimov were buried in Orta Mughan village cemetery.

    Note that Rahimova Safiyya Mulazim was born in 1936, and her son Rahimov Musaddin Sadri was born in 1963 in the Garayevkand (now Orta Mughan) village of Saatli district.

    On October 22, 1993, S. Rahimova, along with her child M. Rahimov, her husband Sadri, and another son, went to visit her soldier son Fahlul, who was fighting in the direction of Zangilan. The next day, while returning, she and her son Musaddin went missing in the direction of the Horadiz settlement in Fuzuli.

    It was found out that they were buried as an unknown martyr in Bala Bahmanli village cemetery of Fuzuli. Sadri Rahimov and his two other sons have not been heard from for 31 years.
