Iraq is ready to cooperate with other countries in combating terrorism, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani said on Saturday, Paralel.Az reports citing Xinhua.
Al-Sudani's remarks came during a meeting with his visiting Somali counterpart, Hamza Abdi Barre, in Baghdad, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues, according to a statement by al-Sudani's media office.
Al-Sudani said that Iraq has experience and knowledge in combating terrorism and tracking its groups, and is ready to cooperate with friendly and brotherly countries in this regard, according to the statement.
For his part, Barre expressed his country's desire to benefit from Iraq's experience in combating terrorism and economic cooperation, as Somalia possesses natural resources that have not been exploited, the statement said.
The meeting also addressed the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, it added.
