Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) has met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuri Husyev, ANAMA told Paralel.Az.

According to the information, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the perspectives of bilateral cooperation in the direction of combating the mine threat, which is one of the priority areas for both countries.

The Ambassador, expressing his gratitude for the "Revival P" mechanical demining machine that Azerbaijan presented to Ukraine in the field of humanitarian demining, noted that the mechanical vehicle showed an efficient and effective result in cleaning the areas from anti-personnel mines.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of conducting appropriate training for Ukrainian specialists by ANAMA in the field of humanitarian demining.
