US invites Azerbaijan to NATO summit
The United States has invited Azerbaijan to the NATO summit, said US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien, who is on visit to Azerbaijan, in this regard at a briefing he held for the journalists, Paralel.Az reports.
The diplomat noted that the US invited Azerbaijan and Armenia to the meeting of partners within the framework of the NATO summit to be held in Washington.
"Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will host the event with NATO partners, which includes Azerbaijan and Armenia. I look forward to the participation of both countries. Including these states, a total of 30 countries will participate there,"- he said.
Note that NATO's Washington summit will be held on July 9-11.
