Podgorica hosts 3rd meeting of Azerbaijan-Montenegro Joint Commission -PHOTO
The Montenegro-Azerbaijan business forum and the 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Montenegro were held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az.
It was reported that to participate in both events, the delegation led by the co-chairman of the Commission from Azerbaijani side, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev is on a visit to Montenegro.
S. Babayev and Montenegrin co-chairman of the Joint Commission, Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for economic policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Đeljošaj participated in the opening ceremony of the Montenegrin-Azerbaijani business forum held within the framework of 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission.
Up to 10 companies from Azerbaijan and 5 companies from Montenegro participated in today's business forum organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Economic Chamber of Montenegro.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on future directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro, and it was stated that there is great potential for further increasing the trade turnover.
The future prospects of the cooperation of the two states in various fields, opportunities for expanding cooperation in energy, transport, mutual encouragement of investments, tourism, agriculture, labor and social protection, culture, education and other fields were reviewed.
Issues of mutual interest in priority sectors, as well as opportunities for exchange of experience in the field of renewable energy, etc. has been discussed.
Following, S. Babayev and Nik Đeljošaj signed the Protocol on the results of the 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission. The future directions of cooperation are reflected in the document.
