Algeria, Türkiye trade volume hits 6.3 bln USD in 2023

 

Trade volume between Algeria and Türkiye reached 6.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, said Algeria's Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni on Monday, Paralel.Az reports.

Zitouni made the announcement during the Algerian-Turkish Business Forum held in Algiers. The forum was co-chaired by Zitouni and his Turkish counterpart, Omer Bolat.

Zitouni called for broadening bilateral collaboration in areas including agricultural and food products, mechanical and household appliances, plastics and packaging industries, as well as the tourism and services sector, expressing his hope that the trade volume could increase to 10 billion dollars by 2025.

Bolat also urged for the expansion of cooperation with Türkiye and increase of trade volume, highlighting that Algeria is Türkiye's second-largest partner in Africa and a major recipient of Turkish investments.
