Cyprus insists it is not involved in Middle East hostilities
Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said on Wednesday that Cyprus is "not involved in any way in the hostilities" in the Middle East after warnings from Hezbollah earlier today, Paralel.Az reports citing Cypriot newspaper Phileleftheros.
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said Cyprus will be considered "part of the war" if it allows Israel to use its airport for military operations.
"The Republic of Cyprus is not part of the problem, the Republic of Cyprus is part of the solution. And this role of ours, as manifested, for example, through the humanitarian corridor, is recognized not only by the Arab world but by the entire international community," Christodoulides said, according to the Cypriot newspaper Phileleftheros.
