Assistant to President: France's policy towards the South Caucasus is detrimental
We do not consider France's policy towards the South Caucasus to be beneficial, it is a detrimental policy, said the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, Paralel.Az reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev stated that France's arming of Armenia is a threat to the results achieved so far and peace in the Caucasus: "This is a blow to the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. France's policy of militarization is a step that will embolden revanchist forces in Armenia. Providing deadly weapons to Armenia is deeply concerning. As a member of the UN Security Council, France must pursue responsible policies. Armenia is a country that has occupied and committed aggression in the South Caucasus. Arming such a country is unacceptable."
