European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the assault on Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen that occurred on Friday in Copenhagen, Paralel.Az reports citing BBN.

"I condemn this despicable act which goes against everything we believe and fight for in Europe," Von der Leyen said on X, expressing that she was "shocked" upon hearing the news. She wished her "strength and courage," assuring that she is certain that Frederiksen possesses both of these qualities.
