The Kazbegi customs checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border has temporarily suspended its activity, according to reports from the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Paralel.Az's Tbilisi correspondent.
According to the Service due to the risk of flooding, the import-export procedures of goods and products, as well as the crossing of the state border by persons, are currently not being carried out through the station. It was reported that the employees of the customs station, as well as the passengers, were transferred to a safe area in a coordinated manner.
It was noted that the operation of the station will be resumed after the threat subsides.
