Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco, the Ministry told Paralel.Az.

During the meeting, the Ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Ambassador Luca Di Gianfrancesco on his appointment and wished him success during his diplomatic tenure.

Parties hailed the development of strategic partnership ties between the two countries in the areas of economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, humanitarian, etc.

Issues arising from multidimensional strategic partnership relations between the two countries, as well as current regional situation were discussed at the meeting.

BMT-nin İqlim Dəyişikliyi üzrə Çərçivə Konvensiyasının Tərəflər Konfransının 29-cu sessiyasına (COP29) hazırlıq işləri, habelə aparılan danışıqlar prosesindən bəhs edən nazir Ceyhun Bayramov COP29 sədrliyimiz çərçivəsində o cümlədən İtaliya ilə əməkdaşlıqdan məmnunluq duyacağımızı bildirib.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ceyhun Bayramov, speaking about the preparations, as well as, negotiation process for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), stated that Azerbaijan would be pleased with the cooperation with Italy within the framework of Azerbaijan's COP29 presidency.

The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest as well.
