The person who shot Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was revealed to be a 71-year-old resident of Levice, Slovakia, according to the local media, Paralel.Az reports.
The perpetrator's motives are being clarified.
Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic confirmed that an assassination attempt was carried out on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Local media reports that there is no threat to the Prime Minister's life.

The incident took place in the town of Handlova, some 150 kilometers northeast of the capital, according to the news television station TA3. A suspect has been detained, it said.
