State Commission of Azerbaijan once again calls on Armenia for cooperation in connection with missing persons
The State Commission has repeatedly stated in its statements to the media that the Armenian side has the main information about the persons who have gone missing, especially during the First Garabagh War. Because the territory was occupied by the Armenian army and stayed under their control for 30 years," Ismayil Akhundov, secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostaged Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Working Group, told Paralel.Az in an extensive interview.
"The State Commission once again states that it's ready for cooperation with the relevant structures of the Republic of Armenia in the field of search for missing persons belonging to both sides, adhering to the principles of accuracy and transparency and in an environment of mutual trust. I believe that taking into consideration that the Armenian side has the main information, this cooperation will contribute to clarifying the fate of the missing persons from both sides," Ismayil Akhundov said.
