On April 19, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Claudio Taffuri, Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan on the occasion of completing his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani MFA told Paralel.Az.

During the reception, speaking about the current situation and the realities in the region during the post-conflict period, the restoration and rehabilitation works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, as well the process of Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to Italy for the fair position it exhibited during the current sensitive period.

It was noted that Italy's position should be taken as an example by several actors who have demonstrated a one-sided and biased approach, threatening regional peace and security-building measures.
