Ambassador considers that Greece-Armenia relations are not turned against Azerbaijan
“I can assure you that we have, indeed, for years now, relations with Armenia, but in no way, by no means, these relations are turned against our friends in Azerbaijan,” Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Christos Capodistrias told Paralel.Az.
The diplomat answering question about Greece's relations with Armenia, brought Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations to attention: “You have your close relations with Türkiye, and of course we know that it is not against Greece. So these international relations are a complex work, a complex system. It is important that we all exchange ideas, exchange views, we sit down and talk, and discuss. This is very important and we had the chance actually to do this and we are very happy about this.”
The ambassador reminded that recently the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece, Mrs Alexandra Papadopoulou, came to Baku and had very fruitful discussions with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr Fariz Rzayev: “So we focus very much on our relations with Azerbaijan, in spite of other friendships or relations we have. This is the international system and this is how it works.”
