The efforts of third countries to ensure their military presence in the Caspian Sea are against the interests of the region, Iran's Foreign Minister Huseyn Amir Abdullahian said during talks with Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Paralel.Az reports.

Mr Abdullahian also made a proposal to hold the third Caspian Economic Forum at the level of the heads of government of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan.

The previous forum was held in Moscow on October 5-6, 2022.
