On March 15-17, Russia held presidential elections, the eighth in the country's modern history. The President of the Russian Federation is elected for a six-year term by the citizens of Russia on the basis of universal, equal and direct suffrage by secret ballot, Paralel.Az reports.

Incumbent Russian President Vladimir Putin has won the 2024 presidential election with 87.28% of the vote, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced after processing 100% of the ballots.

As for the other three presidential candidates, Nikolai Kharitonov received 4.31% of the votes, Leonid Slutsky - 3.2% of the votes, while Vladislav Davankov - 3.85% of the votes.

The data of the election results were published in the Information Center of the CEC, 100% of the protocols were processed.
