Russian MFA spokesperson comments on gifted "Khari Bulbul" badge

The official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Maria Zakharova commented on Azerbaijanis gifting "Khari Bulbul" badge to her within the framework of the World Youth Festival held in Sochi, Paralel.Az reports.

According to the information, during today’s briefing, a correspondent of TASS agency addressed Zakharova question about the "Khari Bulbul" badge, which was given to her as a gift and is considered a symbol of the liberation of Garabagh from occupation and her receiving this as a gift causing a resonance in the media. Zakharova called the resonance about the " Khari Bulbul" badge being gifted to her as another exaggerated occasion.

“Those who didn’t attend this festival, those who weren’t there most likely do not know that all participants of festival bring gifts with them. Palestinians, Argentines, Chinese people and others brought gifts and souvenirs with their symbols. It doesn’t mean that those need to be exaggerated. People talk about what is important to them. This is completely normal, when people give gifts that reflect symbols that are important to them, they tell their stories through those gifts."

Russian MFA spokesperson added that there’s no need to follow provocations: “Probably, these (provocations – ed.) happened and will happen. There’s no need to follow provocations. The most important thing is to look for something positive in everything," she said.
