Azerbaijani FM meets with OSCE Secretary General, urges Armenia-UPDATED

 

As part of his attendance in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az.

During the meeting, the cooperation agenda carried out within the framework of Azerbaijan-OSCE relations, the current situation in the region, as well as the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process were discussed.

A number of possible projects between Azerbaijan and the OSCE were considered, as well as possible areas of cooperation in accordance with the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Azerbaijan this year.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the latest processes on the agenda of peace and normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and underlined that the anti-Azerbaijani statements made by Armenia on various platforms, as well as the latest provocations, are in conflict with the peace rhetoric voiced by Armenia.

At the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid within the Antalya Diplomatic Forum held in Türkiye, the minister posted in this regard on his X account, Paralel.Az reports.

Jeyhun Bayramov called on the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.

"Within Antalya Diplomacy Forum met with Helga Maria Schmid. Underscored that Armenia needs to refrain from making inflammatory remarks and statements to avoid further damaging the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace and normalization process. We also talked about regional and international developments," the minister noted.
