Hungarian parliament approves resignation of president

Hungary's parliament has accepted the resignation of the country's president, Katalin Novak, Paralel.Az reports citing TASS.

The vote to approve the resignation was unanimous and took place at the parliament’s first session after a winter vacation.

Novak announced her resignation on February 10 after issuing a presidential pardon to a man convicted as an accessory in a pedophilia crime. She conceded she had made a mistake.
