An official reception dedicated to the National Day of Japan - His Imperial Majesty Emperor Naruhito's birthday was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, Paralel.Az reports.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Katsuya Watanabe, Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan and other officials.

Delivering an opening speech, the Japanese Ambassador greeted the participants of the event held on the occasion of the Emperor's 63rd birthday and noted that the strong friendship between the countries is further developing every day.

Speaking at the event, Elnur Mammadov noted that the joint cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan has further expanded over the past years. The diplomat expressed his confidence that friendly relations and joint activities between the countries will develop more.
