NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on Thursday that a coalition of member states within the alliance will provide Ukraine with 1 million drones this year, Paralel.Az reports citing Tele Trader.

Speaking during the press conference in Brussels following the alliance's defense minister's meeting, Stoltenberg also underscored that 20 allies will collaborate to establish a demining coalition, all aimed at supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russia. Stoltenberg also expressed hope that the United States Congress will greenlight the financial package for Kiev, stressing that the delay in sending funds to Ukraine is already having adverse effects on Kyiv's forces on the battlefield against Russia.

The NATO chief also addressed Washington's criticism of the alliance's defense spending, stressing that more member states are working to increase allocated funds aimed at bolstering the organization's defense. "NATO will remain the strongest and most successful alliance in history, and I expect the United States to remain a strong ally," Stoltenberg noted, emphasizing that maintaining a strong NATO alliance is in Washington's national security interest.
