Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General receives UN Resident Coordinator -PHOTO
On February 13, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with Vladanka Andreeva, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, press service of Prosecutor General's Office told Paralel.Az.
During the meeting, the Prosecutor General specially emphasized that hosting one of the most prestigious international events in the world - 29th session of UN Climate Change Conference - COP29 in Azerbaijan once again is an indicator of the great trust and respect of the world countries towards Azerbaijan, as well as, Azerbaijan’s growing influence and strong positions on the world scale.
UN Resident Coordinator Vladanka Andreeva spoke about the importance of a prestigious international conference such as COP29 to be organized under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship, and its contribution to the solution of global environmental problems faced by the countries of the world.
During the meeting, useful discussions were held on a number of issues of interest to the parties, as well as cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the fight against crime and other issues.
