Azerbaijan, Brazil explore prospects for cooperation

 

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with a delegation led by Head of the Brazil-Azerbaijan friendship group at the Brazilian Federal Senate Nelsinho Trad, Press Service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Paralel.Az.

The discussions revolved around enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil, increasing political contacts, and plans for bilateral political consultations.

They underscored the significance of preparations for another meeting of the Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment between the governments of Azerbaijan and Brazil.

The Azerbaijani FM highlighted the recent snap presidential election held in Azerbaijan, marking the first election in the history of Azerbaijan’s independence coinciding with the full restoration of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

They also emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations within the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be hosted by Azerbaijan this year. They also discussed stepping up coordinating efforts with Brazil, the host country for COP30.

They also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
