Azerbaijan prepares Armenia's mining map

A mining map of Armenia is being prepared in Azerbaijan, Chairman of Azerbaijan Cartographers Public Union Mugabil Bayramov told journalists, Paralel.Az reports.

He noted that 40% of the map is ready: “The map is being prepared in two formats. Through these maps, it will be possible to know where Armenia has minerals. The map will not cover the locations of Armenia’s mining industry located on the border with Azerbaijan but the territory of Armenia. At the same time, ecological information will also be placed on the map. Which rivers are polluted with which substances and where they are discharged? The presentation of the map is planned for after four months. The map will be in Azerbaijani, English and Armenian.”

Muqabil Bayramov noted that the map will be prepared with Azerbaijani toponyms: “We are also thinking of distributing these maps to the participants of the COP29 event to be held in our country," he added.
