Georgia's ruling "Georgian Dream" party has approved Irakli Kobakhidze's candidacy to the post of Prime Minister, Paralel.Az's Tbilisi correspodent reports.

The decision was adopted by the pilotocal council of the party.

Speaking at the congress, The new Chairman of the party Irakli Gharibashvili stated that the candidate for the post of Prime Minister is Irakli Kobakhidze and wished him success.

A symbolic voting was also held at the congress.

Note that Irakli Kobakhidze will announce the new structure of the government. Next week, the country's parliament will approve the Prime Minister and the structure of the government.

Irakli Garibashvili resigned from the post of Prime Minister on January 29.
