1395 people will return to Horovlu village of Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil by the end of 2024

 

Karizs in Horovlu village of Jabrayil district of Azerbaijan are being restored, said Nargiz Garajayeva, senior adviser of the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil and Zangilan districts, in a meeting of the Azerbaijani working group on environmental issues in Zangilan district, Paralel.Az reports.

According to her, in 2023 restoration and construction works started in the Horovlu village of Jabrayil: “There were more than 100 karizs in Jabrayil before the occupation, but during the occupation period, karizs were destroyed. Currently, 5 karizs in Horovlu village are being restored, 2 have been restored completely and 3 will be completed in coming months.”

She stated that in the first phase of the Great Return State Program, by the end of 2024, the population of this village will be approximately 1395 people: “It is predicted that the number of the village population will be about 3500 people for upcoming years”.
