Ukrainian President discusses situation on front lines with NATO Secretary General

 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the Ukrainian President noted on X in this regard, Paralel.Az reports.

"I met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Davos to thank the Alliance for its steadfast support.

We discussed the situation on the front lines. I informed the Secretary General of Russia's recent mass air strikes and emphasized the need to further strengthen Ukraine's air defense.We also talked about other defense needs," Zelenskyy noted.

According to him, they both noted the significance of the UK-Ukraine security agreement, which is based on the G7 Vilnius Declaration.

"I informed about Ukraine's ongoing work with partners on similar agreements and emphasized the importance of signing such documents, which will be in place until Ukraine joins NATO.

We discussed the preparations for the NATO summit in Washington. I emphasized that Ukraine anticipates decisions that will bring its membership in the Alliance closer," Zelenskyy added.

Note that both leaders are attending the World Economic Forum held in Davos.
