Medvedev: UK troops in Ukraine would be declaration of war on Russia

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev warned the United Kingdom on Friday that if their troops are deployed on Ukrainian territories to support the conflict, that act would signify a direct declaration of war, Paralel.Az reports citing TeleTrader.

Going further in the warning, the Russian representative questioned how the Western would react if downtown of Kiev "happened to be bombarded with cluster ammunition" while the British contingent was there just as it happened to Russian citizens in Belgorod close to New Year's Eve.

Medvedev's comments on X arrived amid a visit that UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is doing in Kiev to reiterate his position as an ally with a delivery of £2.5 billion in military aid and to hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
