On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of Heydar Aliyev, the Great Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the AZAL team visited his gravesite at the Alley of Honor on December 12, Press Service of “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC told Paralel.Az.

In a respectful ceremony, the AZAL management and employees honored the memory of the National Leader by placing wreaths and flowers at his grave. Additionally, floral tributes were laid at the resting place of Heydar Aliyev's wife, the distinguished ophthalmologist-scientist academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

It has been 20 years since the passing of Heydar Aliyev, who played a vital role in the development of an independent Azerbaijan and was a prominent statesman. Each year on December 12, the Day of Remembrance for the Great Leader is commemorated not only within Azerbaijan, but also beyond its borders.
