Azercosmos attends COP28 conference

 

Azercosmos participates in the 28th session (COP28) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in the national pavilion belonging to Azerbaijan in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az-Economics.

Azercosmos employees gave a panel discussion on the role of space monitoring activities in the fight against climate change in our country. Leading representatives of US "ESRI", UAE "Bayanat" and United Kingdom "Geospatial Insight" companies operating in the field of geographic information participated as guests in the session "From space to Earth: Data driven decision-making in the age of Climate Change".

The use of space data, strategies and the role of international cooperation in this field were also discussed in the session.

Noted that more than 97,000 representatives from nearly 200 countries of the world are participating in the "COP28" event. The main agenda of the event included reducing the negative effects of climate change and strengthening the climate.
