The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Paralel.Az.

During the meeting, the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, the current situation in the region, and the prospects of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia were discussed.

Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that Azerbaijan, as the initiator of the main elements of the peace process with Armenia, is an interested party in establishing peace and stability in the region.

The significance of the intensification of border delimitation talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia on a bilateral basis was highlighted.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
