Azerbaijani PM: Middle Corridor strengthens Azerbaijan's position as transit hub

"Against the background of geopolitical processes taking place in the region in recent times, the breaking of traditional logistics chains between East and West has increased the relevance of international transport corridors passing through the territory of our country," said Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov during the discussion of budget envelope for 2024 at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis, Paralel.Az reports.

The Prime Minister said that the Middle Corridor is important in this regard: "Active participation in this corridor strengthens Azerbaijan's position as a regional trade and transit hub. This increases the importance of our country as a strategic partner for Asia and Europe and contributes to the creation of added value in our economy. Taking into account all this, the head of state approved the "Action Plan for 2024-2026 to increase the transit potential of international transport corridors passing through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to stimulate transit cargo transportation".
