Russia is ready for talks with Ukraine, which can be held, including on the territory of a Western country, a high-ranking source sai, Paralel.Az reports citing Izvestia.

“The Russian Federation allows talks with Kyiv in a Western country. Most likely, the role of mediator may go to a country that is not a member of the NATO bloc,” the source says.

According to the newspaper, Budapest is still ready to provide mediator services to Moscow and Kyiv. In Russia, such proposals are not rejected. But Ukraine and its Western partners show no readiness to negotiate with Moscow.
