Ukraine and the European Union held the first round of consultations on collective security guarantees,according to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Paralel.Az reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva and Deputy Secretary General for Peace, Security and Defence of the European External Action Service Charles Fries took part in the talks.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on approaches to future security commitments from the EU, focusing on the security and defense segment.
