Mount Etna erupts lighting up Sicilian sky

Sicily’s famous Mount Etna erupted on the evening of Sunday, November 12, after months of calm, Paralel.Az reports citing Storyful.

This footage of Mount Etna’s latest eruption shows bright-red lava and spewing from the mouth of volcano.

Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology said the “height of the eruptive column is estimated to be about 4500 m (14,763 feet) above sea level”.

Etna is one of ‘the most active in the world’. Its last eruption in August 2023 forced all flights to and from Catania airport to be halted during peak holiday season in Italy.
